I was already running Sonoma on my MBP M1 for a few weeks now but many told me (including Windows users) that every time there’s a major operating system release they would wipe everything and then run a clean install so that way it even runs more smoothly without leaving traces of the older operating systems behind.

Anyways, don’t know if this is true or not.

Here’s my main question:

I had decided to erase all content and settings on my MBP, but is there any way to turn off the annoying voice setup assistant when doing this the next time?

It’s especially annoying when someone is trying to sleep and this voice thing turns on during the setup phase.

The VoiceOver that's there to help people with disabilities set up their Mac only kicks in if you leave the machine sitting there without any input. If you want to avoid hearing it, set up the machine.
