Hej...
I like the Top Sites feature. However, I don't like that Safari checks if the site has changed since my last visit. It destroys the feature of many forums to just show me the posts which were added since my last visit :(

I need the same thing.

At my job there is a landing page before I can get on wireless. So all my top sites show that as the latest update. I need to disable this.

HELP: how do I disable the Top Sites in Safari 4?

I hate the feature it switches automatically while browsing and I lose info. that might be typing online.

Does anyone know how to Disable this feature?

Thanks.

I was also looking for an answer on how to disable top sites. My wife gets irritated by it and I'm curious if you can just get a blank white page again somehow.

To ignore Top Sites:

Safari Prefs > General:
New Windows open with ~ Select anything other than Top sites
New Tabs open with ~ Select anything other than top sites
Safari Prefs > Bookmarks > Deselect Top sites
