As I understand it, APC discontinued updates of their powerchute software when Apple added UPS management to the Energy Saver option of System Preferences in Leopard. The shutdown functionality appears to work fine in Snow Leopard. However, every time the power source switches to the UPS, I receive a dialogue box warning me that I am on backup power (see attached). This would not be a problem if we seldom needed backup power, but we are in an area the has significant drops in line voltage and we frequently rely on the UPS to maintain our power level. Does anyone know how to disable these annoying warnings?
