Is it possible to automatically disable the vibration on apple watch ultra 2 when sitting in front of the computer (mac mini m1)? I have tons of conversations via imessage on my mac and every time someone replies my apple watch is vibrating. Im talking about 50 - 200 vibration per hour.

I dont get why my apple watch vibrates when the mac is displaying the message anyway.

Because Watch doesn't really have anything to do with a Mac, it's all phone related.

So, need to have phone unlocked so that alerts only happen on the phone (Notifications are either or: locked phone = Watch alerts, unlocked = alert on phone).

Or can create a Focus that does not allow Messages Notifications, but will need to setup sharing across devices and then remember to turn on the Focus via Mac or phone before sitting down at the Mac. If work from home, can setup a schedule for this on phone (or Mac).

Or just define the Focus on the phone (no Focus sharing) and remember to enable/disable it there (or schedule it).

And to the best of my knowledge, no way for phone to know that you are in front of your Mac to automate this more, let alone to know when Messages Notifications are ok or need to be silenced (eg. time of day, home/away).

Hmm, I do not get message and email notifications on my watch when I’m at my Mac, so sometimes I miss messages. Maybe it has to do with iPhone mirroring that I have running on my Mac? I don’t remember how it was before that was introduced…
