I don't have a recent iphone yet, but want to know if siri and voice dialling can be disabled without having to set a password if you do following steps in the latest IOS 8 beta:

1. Turn Siri on --> settings --> general --> Siri
2. (just for the case you deactivated Siri here, not sure if you need to do that) settings --> general --> restrictions --> Siri on
3. settings --> passcode --> Turn Passcode on --> Allow Access when Locked --> Siri OFF
4. turn passcode OFF again

Especially if at the end you turn passcode OFF again (step 4), will it still have both siri and voice dialling disabled or not from lock screen?

Is step 2 required?

Could somebody please try out the above steps and let me know if it works or not.

Thanks alot! :)

Since I sometimes have a sticky home button, I want to disable voice dialing and if possible disable voice activation all together.

In IOS 7.1 this is NOT possible as far as i can see (also not in password) however some people say you can do it by restricting SIRI.

Can you disable random voice dialing in IOS 8 betas?!

Thanks for all good info! :)

Clean your home button so it doesn't stick

Edited the content of this thread so hope somebody can help with the above.

Thanks!! :)
