Hi everyone,
I have a MacBook Air M1 which I am trying to make less distracting. I have a work user account and an internet user account. The work user has all internet browsers blocked (hey focus/cold turkey apps). The internet account has internet access with only the most addictive sites blocked.
What I want is to have wifi access on the work user account, but disable wifi on the internet user account. The work user account needs wifi access to back up written documents etc. On the internet account I don't want any wifi access because then I can take my laptop anywhere and browse the internet. I only want ethernet access for the internet user. I am going to fix an ethernet cable in an annoying location so is the only spot the internet user can access the internet is in an awkward spot.
The roadblock is that both user accounts on my Mac share exactly the same network settings. If I make a change to one user account it appears on the other. I want to delete the wifi adapter from the network settings for the internet user without it changing the work user. Unfortunately, deleting the wifi adapter from internet user deletes it for the work user. Then restoring wifi access for the work user restores it for the internet user.
Is there any way on MacOS to have different wifi settings for different users?
Thanks!
