disabled ipad that has never been synced to itunes

I've got an ipad that I never synched to a computer (never had a reason to) and it got disabled by too many wrong password attempts. I've tried restoring it in iTunes several times to factory and it goes through the whole process with an error code at the end.

Anyone have any experience with this? Apple wants to charge me 150 to fix it...

Also, I've put it into DFU and Recovery mode and re-attempted the process multiple times. iTunes is up to date as well.

Finally got it!

Since I kept getting a 3194 error code from iTunes after DLing the new ipad software and attempting to let iTunes restore the iPad to factory software....

Finally, I had success after doing the following:

1) I downloaded the stock IPSW off of the internet.
2) After putting the ipad into DFU, it showed up in itunes.
3) Shift + click on restore, and then select the IPSW file that has been downloaded and continue with the restore. It'll take about 5 minutes and you will be done.
