Disabled?

I have a Rev D 1.67 17" 1440x900 PowerBook...

Now, why would this be disabled? (This was an advertised feature)

Hmm... Dunno why it happened, but this article tells you how to re-enable it (and how to disable it again if you like).

Having said that, I have a feeling some video-editing apps disable it.

Try smacking it really hard to see if the drive parks.

If you enable it using Crab Man's link, do the two then agree with each other?

Alternatively, reboot and see what they both say...
