Hey Guys,

I've read the tutorial about how to disable the "accessory attached" screen on the iPhone posted here: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/479335/
However, I tried this and all my Alpine deck does is continue to search for the iPhone while the iPhone opens and closes the iPod application continuously, then gives me a black screen. It is a 3G iPhone 2.0 firmware plugged into an Alpine CDE-9870. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated! :D

I have an Alpine CD player in my car, and I don't get any of those messages. The only thing that happens when I plug my iPhone in to the connector is I get a message on the phone saying that the accessory attached wasn't designed for use with the iPhone and it asks if I want to turn on airplane mode. I just click No and can continue to use the phone normally. However, when I attach any of my iPods (iPod Touch excluded) I get the Alpine accessory splash screen.
