Disabling auto-fill feature in Address Book?

How do I get my Address Book to stop trying to auto-fill fields every time I type in the first few characters in a new field? For example, every time I start to enter a website in the homepage field, as soon as I type "www" the thing auto-enters the first web address it already has in its database....

Wait, is the autofilling occurring in Address Book or is it happening in other apps, but using Address Book data?

It's happening within Address Book. The fields are trying to auto-fill with data from previous Address Book entries, based on the first few characters I type into the field.

That's bizarre. I can't replicate this on any of my machines, all running 10.4.9 and the latest version of Address Book. Maybe tell us a little more about your system and any third party software hacks and apps you may be running.
