Disabling Automatic Playist Creation & Recently Added

maybe this has been covered somewhere but I believe since 8.4's new music player my phone has automatically been creating new playlists. I believe it's based on whatever playlists I've actually played songs from. It's extremely annoying to be completely honest. And also is there any way to go into recently added on the main music player screen and change the view to songs? So you can just skip song to song instead of sub folder upon sub folder of playlists.
