Disabling multiple "Get Info" windows?

I know I can hold Alt when getting info for multiple items to get the collective info. But is there a way to set this behaviour as default? So it behaves more like the Windows Explorer "Properties" feature.

No, I don't believe there is a way to alter this behavior.

Shame, it's one of those things that bites a lot of Mac users the first time. It's rough when you accidentally do it to 100 items and you don't yet know the Cmd+W keyboard shortcut.
