Hello,
I'm trying to disable the standard function keys on my Mac keyboard so I can use them instead in an Avid software programme.
Normally, like on my macbook, I can go to
System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard tab > Check "use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys.
But I'm not given this option on my iMac. I can get to "System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard tab" but then there is just a blank space instead of having the option to check the function keys on and off.
Is there some other keyboard setting I need to change or something?
It's an older style Mac keyboard with the chunky keys (doesn't have a separate "fn" key), not the slim ones that you get now if that matters, and I'm running 10.9.4
Thank you!!
iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)
