Just wondering if there is an easy way to disable the sound running from Safari (or other browser) without affecting sound from other apps.. i.e. iTunes etc.

Stupid sound effects in java applets, flash etc.. embedded in websites, if I'm listening to music and browsing I don't want to hear the music from an animation or anything.. Must be a simple way to disable sounds!

Currently I have got channels 1+2 running for web based stuff and channels 3+4 running multimedia stuff so I can just mute the sound from the internet on my mixing desk but it's a real pain if I'm monitoring a music project across all channels from the Mac!

Cheers!

I've seen allot Applications, and they only one that I've seen that can do this is Detour; like neut already mentioned. It looks like a really neat little program. $12 isn't a bad deal at all either. Depends on how much you want/need it.
