Can I disable the white light that comes on when my computer screen goes to sleep? It's soooo bright in a perfectly dark room!
 
Don't know why you'd want to do that. It's one of the coolest things about Mac laptops!

However, if you aren't using the computer, then just shut it down. Problem solved.

There is a way to do it...you need to figure out what "driver" sends the command for the light to do its thing when sleeping...probably someone who is a computer engineer might know.
 
Recent switchers ask me this all the time... and it's true, there should be a way to turn it off, but unfortunately there isn't one (as far as I know).
