Hi all,
I have a rMBP, an Asus RT-AC66U and the latest Airport Extreme (with AC capabilities). I would like to carry out a study to see how wireless AC performs compared to wireless N on the 5GHz spectrum.
The latest Airport Extreme has lost the ability to change the transmitting radio mode so it would automatically broadcast wireless N and AC on the 5GHz. The RT-AC66U had the ability to disable the Wi-Fi AC (according to the manual). However after a certain firmware update (I don't know which) it has lost that ability.
What I am asking is, is there a way to force the Mac to connect to the AP with wireless N instead of AC? Or else do you guys know of an AP that offers the ability to disable wireless AC?
Thanks for you help
