I'm experiencing disappearing Admin Privileges on my Boot Drive. I suddenly can't drag-n-drop any files to the Boot drive without typing my Admin Password. It happened when I was using a Hard Drive and it just happened after Migrating to an SSD - eg: installed from my downloaded Mountain Lion installer then imported my settings and accounts.
My workaround has been to do a Get Info on the Boot drive and add administrators to the list of those with access to the drive (including ticking enclosed items option). Prior to adding Administrators the 'accounts' with access in the Get Info window were System, Wheel, and Everyone. System had full read & write while Wheel and Everyone only had read only.
Does anyone know what might be causing this problem to keep appearing?
Sincerely
Richard in Michigan
