iPod Disappearing Album Art?

Had a strange problem and wondered if anyone else was experiencing it...

I've been slowly but surely working my way thorugh my 50GB iTunes library and adding in album art for my 5G iPod. I got up to about 75% of the library with art. Then, over the last couple of days, I've noted that some of the art has been disappearing from my iPod-- albums that I specifically remember going in and adding art for.

I've been doing everything right-- updating info for the whole album, etc. It just seems strange, and I don't wanna start this whole project over again if they're going to disappear again. Has this happened to anyone else?

There was a method posted a long while ago to get it to rebuild the artwork library on the iPod.

I believe it was

• Uncheck the "Display album artwork on your iPod" checkbox in iPod options
• Sync your iPod
• Check the "Display album artwork on your iPod" checkbox in iPod options
• Sync your iPod

It is.

that happened to me. it took restoring my ipod to fix it
