iPad Disappearing keyboard bug

iOS 8.0.1 on iPad 2.

Type 'on Monday morning' into an iMessage and send it. It should be underlined in the conversation view. Now tap on the underlined text and go to 'create event.' The keyboard should disappear and the only way to get it back is to close iMessage in the multitasking bar.

Can anyone reproduce? Thanks

Are you using a third party keyboard? I know of a disappearing keyboard issue under certain circumstances with Swype Keyboard. Haven't seen this yet using the standard one.

Thanks, looks like it's a known problem then. I'll report it to Apple anyway because it disappears 100% of the time using the method above so should be easy for them to reproduce.
