I don't know whether this is a problem or not with my iphone 4.
If I make a call to a number that requires me to press certain numbers whilst on the call I find that my screen has gone blank and I have to move the iphone around to bring back the keypad.

Problem or not ? is this normal.

The proximity sensor makes the screen go blank, when you make a call, so you don't press buttons with your ear/face.

Yep, your problems not a problem but a feature. Try not to cover the top of the phone when using the keypad and the screen won't go blank.
