I am using my new 15" MBA (at the same time as my old 13" MBA) and have noticed when I make a screenshot, it appears on my desktop for 2 seconds then automatically disappears. I do use iCloud syncing for my desktop and documents folder. I never had this occur with my previous MBA 13" before. However both machines are acting the same way. It appears to be deleting from my 15" first, then it syncs and deletes on my 13". Not sure what could be causing this.

I have tried renaming items on my desktop, and both devices sync up properly.

It just appears to be the creation of new screenshots that automatically disappear. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

As a test, set the Screenshot app to save items to ANOTHER folder (other than Desktop and Documents), then test creating a screenshot. Thus, merely confirming that it is even saving properly.

Once done, if it worked as expected, reset it to Desktop/Documents, and see what happens...

It’s funny you mention that. I just came online to update my post to say that I had changed it to save in my documents folder to test it, and it works perfectly, and does not disappear. It’s only when I save it on the desktop does it automatically vanish after only a few seconds. I’ve never before seen vanishing icons from the desktop.

Thank you for your suggestion
