Two hours ago tried to invite my dad to Apple TV - starting with creation on his first Apple account… pure disaster and disappointing process.
Tried on Windows + Edge -> error with account creation
Windows + Chrome / DuckDuckGo -> error
Samsung android + Chrome -> error
Tried on my iPhone in safari with incognito mode - worked… but then on both iPhone / windows had troubles with SMS code (mail worked flawlessly), then tried with phone call - worked.
Each time code was sent, typed correctly as checked twice and had error
So we tried finally to log into AppleTV from Windows Store -> easy?
Nope, now dear human try to log into iCloud first (why FFS?!) - now we got error with not sending sms codes anymore… (currently could not send sms code…)
Such Big company having such little problems with simple things.
We will try tomorrow- but it’s a pure joke of QA that only on iPhone it worked. Lucky it’s just AppleTV app not whole device.
Definitely way way worse introduction than I had like 15 years ago with 3G iPod :/
