Both my MacBook and my iMac have this issue. The disc drive will burn discs successfully but will often freeze in the middle of verifying at random points of completion. The thing is, you can hear the disc drive audibly glitching over and over, like it's physically stymied. Once this happens, you can't eject/force eject the disc by any method (I usually end up restarting altogether). Also, I've tried playing these discs (burnt on the MacBook and played on the iMac or vise-versa) and Quicktime will freeze at some point (presumably the same point where the verification stopped) going into the same audible glitching and Quicktime becomes completely unresponsive. Again, I can't eject the disc. I've run the hardware check and haven't found this particular problem on any other forums... Any suggestions?

Incredibly frustrated...
