hey if someone can help i'd appreciate it! For some reason my opitcal drive wont let me insert any disc. theres nothing in it cause when i tried to put a disc in it wouldnt hit anything!? i have no idea. If it helps i have a macbook, i bought in early 2009, Mac OSX 10.5.8! Thanks!

no theres no sounds. everything still works perfectly other than the disc drive. even when i hit the eject button the little symbol doesnt appear on my screen
 
I meant, when you open the lib of the MB, does the drive make any noise?

This is what it says, i have no idea what it means though
 
So, it sees the drive as there, but it sounds like the motor that feeds/ejects discs might be broken.
 
so im assuming i need to bring it in? cause that was my next step! lol
