Disc Reader for rMBP?

This might be a stupid question, but why not.

Is there anything I can use as a temporal disc drive until I buy one? For example, will an Xbox 360 work if I plugged it in? The actual console and not the drive you can buy for them.

If you have access to another Mac or Windows computer on the same network, you could use Remote Disc Sharing.

As far as I have gathered from previous threads, yes, but I also have not used it for more than data transfer and currently there is no optical disk drive (ODD) in my household to test it with.

I couldn't copy a CD over, so I just ripped the CD into windows media player and then used the shared tab in finder to move the folder across, that's good enough haha
