Traveling The World
Hello,

There is a blank DVD-R disc in my drive and I can't get it out!!

I've pressed Eject and nothing! It spins and makes noises, the goes silent and re-spins. But nothing is happening. How do i get it out? It's been going on for 5 minutes?

HELP PLEASE

Reboot your computer while holding down the primary mouse button (from right when it reboots, i.e. you hear the chime). That'll force eject the drive.

IT WORKED! IT WORKED! IT WORKED!:D <dances around room>

You are a Genius. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I actually thought I broke my PowerBook for a second.

The old hold-the-mouse-button-while-restarting is a great trick to know, but I just wish there were some other way to force an eject without having to go to all the trouble of quitting your apps and restarting everything.

Rockin' the house since 2003.

Always happy to help. That's one of those handy tips I learned from the Mac tech guy at my college. Doesn't seem to be too well known, but it's saved my butt on numerous occasions. :)

Thats actually a pretty cool trick!

I could probably twist that into a speech recognition disc drive!

Persuade some of my firneds to get a mac, by a simple illusion!
