I want to restore my hard drive to factory default. My MacBook Pro is currently running Lion.

I know to hold "Command+R" while restarting, but after that, I need help. What is the difference between erasing and restoring the hard drive? And which one do I need to do in order to clean my hard drive to factory default?

Erasing deletes everything and adds nothing back. Restoring erases and re-installs the OS. See Apple's page for more details.
