I have a client with a last genb iMac G5 (isight). He has a currupted disc and can not boot into OSX. Is Disc Warrior still the best to use? Is there something better that is Universal Binary or just a better disc recovery suite?

Duff-Man says...for what it does - and it really is basically a 'one trick pony' - DiskWarrior is still that best at that one trick - rebuilding the disk directory structure. If you are looking for a more comprehensive tool then have a look at TechTool Pro and Drive Genius - both good tools....oh yeah!

I haven't used Disk Warrior but I recently had a corrupted volume and was able to get my data back using Data Rescue II.

For $5 you can download a disk image that you can burn to a CD and boot off. You can then scan the drive and it will tell you if it can recover your data. If it can, you then have to pay the full $99 for the license to actually recover the data. However, I was able to find it on eBay for $50.
