Disconnected from Internet -was working great

My internet DSL connection was working great for 2 years -- all the sudden after turning my computer off and on today, my internet connection doesn't work... EXCEPT my laptop does work.

I can't figure out what went wrong, or where exactly to look.
I would appreciate a step by step, it was fine, and works in my house. Nothing changed except i turned off my imac. and turned it back on.

when i read that title I thought your post was about how your disconnected and you're now a lot more productive ('working great')... which would have been an interesting post...

as it's a little more technical than philosophical i shall go now...

It says: Problem Loading Page
Firefox can't find the server at en-us.www.mozilla.com

safari doesn't work either.

okay, now it works....I don't know what happened at all.... thanks anyway
