Disconnected Mail from Yahoo and all my mail disappeared!

Mail imported my inbox email messages from Yahoo and deleted them off Yahoo (I don't know why it does that sometimes, I have it set up to not do that). Anyways, I found my email messages in Mail. I stupidly disconnected Yahoo from Mail because I don't want to use Mail anymore. The side effect is that all my messages inside Mail disappeared. I couldn't undo it. I searched my two Library-->Mail folders and did not find those emails.

Can anyone tell me how I can recover these emails?
