Hi. When I got my new iPhone I kept my old iPhone 5S as basically an overblown music player.

I've set the phone to airplane mode so it doesn't try to connect to any cell towers. But, I've kept wifi on because I stream music sometimes.

Problem is, sometimes when I receive a text or phone call, it shows up on my old phone in addition to my new one. How do I disconnect it so that it doesn't do that anymore?

Thanks.

You should go into settings and make sure you are signed out of iMessage and FaceTime--perhaps might be even better to sign out of iCloud in general. Also make sure there's no SIM card in the phone at this point as you don't need it. On your new/other device(s) make sure you are not doing any message forwarding or handoff or anything like that.
