Disconnecting from an FTP Server

I connected the Finder to a public FTP sever to download some files. When I was done, I ejected the server using the eject widget on the Sidebar. The eject button is now gone, but the server still shows in the Sidebar as "shared." How do I get rid of it? I've connected to FTP servers many times before but I have never seen this result.
