Discount on iPhone 4 with broken iPhone 3G?

I currently have an iPhone 3G 16GB White, and I'd like to upgrade to an 8GB iPhone 4. I'm not on contract, and I've dropped the phone once which smashed the screen (Or faceplate... The actual touch screen still works fine). The headphone socket is also having problems, as is the "silent" switch.

Is it possible to get any sort of discount on an iPhone 4 by trading this in?

No, they dont do trade ins. Only used car dealerships
Try to sell it on ebay or CL. You should get some money for it and use it towards your i4 purchase.

The iPhone 4 doesn't come in 8GB but the 3GS does; iPhone 4 only is in 16 and 32GB and you can always try to sell your 3G on craigslist or eBay and use that for your new iPhone 4/ 3GS
