Hello, I already reported the problem here:
https://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=18771948#post18771948
I am just posting here, in the Macbook Pro forum, as I hope someone at Apple might be reading......or maybe a class-action lawyer-shark is reading....there are just too many reports of this failure for it to be just regular end-of-lifetime failure mode.....
The GPU in my 2011 Early MBP 15 died about 4 weeks ago. Applecare worked for me, I got the logic board replaced in 4 days.
Now, less than 3 weeks later, the same failure.
I have no doubt Applecare will fix it again. But how can I sell this MBP ( which was the plan as I already got a new rMBP, expecting the funds from the sale to partially cover the cost of the new Mac ), knowing that the failure can come back this fast and bite the new owner ?
Paul.
