The discrete GPU is much better in browsing and heavy sites, I might aswell just turn off auto graphic switching. But if it can't last at least 5 hours of browsing and some iWork, it can change my mind.
Does anyone notice a massive difference if you just go on safari and light apps?

There is about a 2hr hit under light use of the system with the discretion gpu. However I haven't seen a reason to force the dgpu on all the time.

I'm finding about 5hrs max using JUST integrated video. With MIXED usage (VM, Videos, etc.), I see closer to 3hr battery life. Auto-switching seems to do the job for me.

7hrs? Maybe with the display turned off ? :)
