Discs not reading (DVD +R DL)

I never had any problems burning any discs, even Dual Layers. For some reason, I tried inserting Memorex DVD +R DL on both my iMac and my Macbook. Each time I did so it spun for about 15 seconds and the disc was automatically ejected, it didn't even read on either of them.

Is this just a disc issue? Or something more than that...

Turned out to be a faulty disc spindle. Working fine now.
