I have had my Macbook Pro for about a year and 3 months. I have just had recent problems *while reformatting* with discs such as Windows XP/Vista *trying to boot camp them*, and the original Leopard and Apple installation discs.

The disc drive will spin around and make noises, and spit them out. The Leopard upgrade CD usually works, but sometimes takes a few times. I have tried resetting the PMU, SMC, and I'm sure everything else.

I really hope I don't have a faulty disc drive, as I can't afford to pay for a new one as it's out of warranty.

I noticed this problem while I was reformatting, and all of my drivers are up to date etc. Is it possible something is wrong with the drivers? What possible solution do you have? I tried doing a search but couldn't find anything really. Please help!
