Since Apple made the iWork lineup free, they made the Keynote Remote app free as well. It works well with the new Keynote '13 on my MacBook Air, and comes in handy since the MBA lacks the IR receiver. However I am aware that the app wasn't updated since the iPhone 4-era, which lacks 4-inch support, iOS 7 update, iPad support, all sorts of things.

What do you guys think about the future of the Keynote Remote app?

I've found myself using it lately as well. Even though it definitely looks old it gets the job done...
