disk copy issue

just a quick question for those of you more familiar with disk copy than i am (which is most people): why when i try to copy a CD that i had made using disk copy does it now say that it wont fit on the CD i inserted (the same size as the CD i am copying). Been having it happen alot...not sure why copying something is making it sometimes 15 MB bigger.
