I am inserting a disc almost all the way into the slot and the computer will not finish eating the disc. I'm afraid to push it all the way in case it gets stuck. What can I do to get the drive to eat the disc?

1) What kind of computer are you using?

2) What kind of disc is it? Is it regular sized and shaped, not a mini disc or card disc?

1) Its the new macbook pro
2) its just a regular dvd (spore)

I heard of a couple other people having the same problem. Just take it back to the apple store and have them either fix it, or exchange it for a new MBP, or, if you don't have a apple store near you, call 1-800-MY-APPLE.

And that's assuming everyone in the world is an american, right? :D

How far in are you pushing it? My MBP requires you to push them almost all the way in... it grabs it when there's 1-1.5 cm still protruding.

mine too, i dont think its a problem, they made it that way so you can have it in but not all the way so when you dont want the cd inside you can leave it outside and it wont disturb you.
