on both my macs, trying to run disk first aid on the boot drive results in a beachball; i cannot force-quit, or do... anything. i had to power down with the power button.

5 minutes or so? am going to try it again, and... be more patient...
EDIT: took 1 minute (after first-reboot after installing PB2; am sure my other mac will behave similarly). thanx!
