I've read many, many, many different tips about my disk being full and can't quite get it figured out. My disk is showing the "other" category as nearly full, and we can't figure out what's doing it. Here's the image of my disk showing about 200GB used:
I've run both disk inventory x and omni sweeper. Each are showing just over 100GB of memory used.
Also, I ran something in utility as instructed by other posts, and it too shows just 79 GB being used:
So where in the world is the rest of this? How do I delete it? I don't use Time Machine, and I haven't managed to find the local files that OSX Lion seems to create in between Time Machine runs.
Any bit helps, and as much detail as possible is greatly appreciated as the amount of computing I have done in typing this post is the most I've ever accomplished in my life! Thanks.
