I have installed bootcamp and now have the "other" partition sitting on my desktop while on the Apple side. I can not however change the name or the folder icon, even using candybar. It appears I only have read writes to the folder.

Any suggestions?

The partition was probably formatted to NTFS. If you install MacFUSE and NTFS-3g, you will get read-write access from the Mac side and ought to be able to change the icon then. However, you can only rename the drive from the Windows side.

Thanks, I figured out how to change the icon in candybar by just changing the default internal drive icon ;) Now to the name change, I'll see what I can do on that side.

edit: That was easy, renamed it on the vista side. Thanks for the help!
