So I have some files I want to password protect and to do so I created a disk image (.dmg) that is 1.5 TB using 128 bit encryption.

I had a previous .dmg for the same use that was only about 100 GB. The new version is running extremely slowly. There are some video files in it, and they lag too much to view.

Is this just a limitation on how large .dmg files can be?
