Disk Not Ejected Properly By Mistake.

I just got my new 2021 14" MacBook Pro with M1Max. After restoring using Time Machine of a backup from my previous 2019 MacBook Pro, my two external disk drives will randomly eject even though I have not physically unplugged them. I get the usual Disk Ejected Improperly message. The funny thing is after they disappear from the desktop, within a few seconds they reappear. This never happened on my recent 2019 Macbook. Could this be a hardware problem or a software problem? I am running MacOS 12.1 Beta (21C5021h).
