I'm doing some house cleaning with Snow Leopard now, and in the process, I'm trying to erase my MacBook, and restore it with a disk image. I've used Carbon Copy Cloner to create a sparseimage on my file server, then I booted into Disk Utility with the SL disk.

I was able to set up the options properly (found the disk image on the network, chose the internal drive as the destination) but when I pressed OK, Disk Utility came back with an error with something to do with "imagescan the sparseimage". I tried it again with the same result.

Any suggestions?

Menu Bar: Images --> Scan Image for Restore

Select your disc image and wait a bit. When done, continue as normal.

Hi, I did what was advised here to extract info from a .sparseimage and i all went fine until I clicked on Scan Image for restore. I keep getting a message saying Unable to scan (Invalid argument). Any ideas?
