Disk Utility - Burning .dmgs using optical drives other than primary...

Hi there.

Already done a search of the forums, but nothing seems to be turning up.

The facts:

• Powermac G4 MDD
• OS X 10.3.9 installed
• Only the basic programs on there, NOT any full iLife suite. I'm not sure if this matters, but that means I don't have iDVD, irritatingly.
• As the Powermac comes with a Combo drive, I have installed a secondary DVD-RW drive, which shows up as a Superdrive now as well.

Now, I want to burn a .dmg using Disk Utility. However, when I put the .dmg into Disk Utility, then click on the burn option, the Mac only gives me the option to use the Combo drive (which obviously wont work). There is no way to change which drive I want to use.

Any option I need to enable, so I can burn using the secondary Superdrive?

Do you already have the blank DVD in the external drive?

Hi, its not an external drive, it is just in the secondary drive bay.

And yes, there already was a blank DVD in the, which OS X detects just fine.

Its just Disk Utility refuses to use it.
