Hello! I've just upgraded my G4 Mac Mini and Core Duo MacBook to OS X Leopard. Since then, the Mac Mini retains errors after the repair for some reason, but more importantly (mostly because it is a newer computer) I cannot perform a permissions repair in Disk Utility on the MacBook; it simply hangs saying, "Repairing Permissions: Estimated time: less than 1 minute." No info is shown in the "Details:" section and the blue loading bar stays stationary in one position like this:

I have no idea what could be the problem, as before installing Leopard, I could always do a successful repair with Tiger. Recently, before trying the permissions repair, I installed Parallels for a short time and then uninstalled it. Could this be a factor?
If anyone is having the same problem or could possibly explain this phenomenon, it would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: I gave it some (ALOT) of time, and it eventually repaired. But why would it take so long??? Definitely more than a "1 minute [Estimated Waiting Time]". Sorry you guys.
Just as an aside, I do permissions repair and sudo periodic daily weekly monthly. Is there anything else I can do without using a program like Onyx to help my Mac run better?
