I accidentally deleted the info.plist file from the contents folder of disk utility. Now disk utility will not open. I no long have the file on my computer. Is there anyway I can get DU to work again? Can someone help me replace that file?

Thanks and I appreciate all responses!

can anyone give me a replacement of their info.plist or tell me how i can use DU again?

Well done for corrupting an application by deleting something that should not be deleted inside the contents folder of an application. Great way for a disaster. Have you or did do do a backup using Time Machine if you were on leopard or OS above?

If you have a backup, then you should restore your copy of Disk Utility. If you don't have a backup: BACKUP EVERYTHING NOW! And you will have to reinstall the OS.

Can I ask what you were trying to do? Deleting a file from inside a system application's package is not something that should happen "by accident". It requires authorisation.
