I can no longer burn an ISO, either CD or DVD using Disk Utility. There is not even the burn icon anymore either in Disk Utility.

Whats more, when I "get info" from the ISO it says "read only". I am the Admin of this computer, and I have repaired permissions on "macintosh hard drive" which repaired alot of stuff but not this. "About this mac" shows superdrive and everything ok.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Have you looked for the application in finder i.e. Applications/Uitilities/disk utility.app

I figured this out, a bit too embarrassed to admit what it was but lets leave it as "I should have spent a few more minutes on it before I posted".

No actually there was a minimize button up top of disk utility that had somehow gotten pressed, and was hiding all the buttons on top including the "burn" button
